Mortality associated with mental disorders and comorbid general medical conditions: a nationwide, register-based cohort study

A study by Natalie C. Momen et. al.

This site visualizes how two different types of mortality estimates, mortality rate ratios (MRRs) and Life Years Loss (LYLs), vary across different combinations of mental disorders (MDs) and general medical conditions (GMCs). MRRs are a type of relative risk, comparing mortality rates in those with disorder(s) versus those without those disorder(s). On the other hand, LYLs measure premature mortality using the difference in life expectancy for those with disorder(s) versus the rest of the population, regardless of their MD or GMC status.
